I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

Psalm 118:17

Hikisha Branch is a three year breast cancer survivor and first time author of The Survivor Kit: Cancer Doesn’t Have Any Hold On Me! She attended Virginia Commonwealth University where she received a B.S. degree in psychology and is looking forward to finishing her Master of Divinity degree at Liberty University. Another part of her talent is song writing. Cancer is what pushed her to overcome her fear of singing and gave her the boldness to record her very first song “You Are Amazing” during her cancer journey. In October 2013, she became both the keynote speaker and recording artist not only for “Think Pink: Stepping Into Fashion Show” but for the “Mending Lives One Step At A Time” program in Richmond, VA. Most recently, in September 2015, she was invited to share a chapter of her book, The Survivor Kit and sing “You Are Amazing” in front of other cancer survivors at Memorial Regional Medical Center. Then, in November 2015, she was chosen as one of the candidates to attend the Living Beyond Breast Cancer Young Advocate Training, in Denver, CO.  She was able to sing “You Are Amazing” once again and pass out fliers about The Survivor Kit.

Currently, The Survivor Kit is available on Amazon Kindle.  Hikisha’s goal is to reach as many people as possible with the love of Christ experiencing cancer and other chronic illnesses across the world. In Richmond, a book release party is also being prepared where family and friends can purchase the book and get it signed personally by the author.  Then too, Hikisha has recorded her second song, “I’m A Survivor,” from chapter 7 in her book, and hopes to make it a part of her CD album to be released soon.  Her love for the Lord has inspired her to keep believing and it is her hope that when you read her book and hear her songs that you will do the same.
