Pastor Alexander “Jay” Patrick is a native of Hurt, VA was educated in the Pittsylvania County School System and was a well accomplished basketball player. His talent in basketball and desire to excel would lead him to Hampden-Sydney College. This transition would broaden his horizons from a standpoint of diversity and ministry. On the campus of Hampden-Sydney was where he realized there was a gift to impact people and to articulate the gospel. Whether, in the cafeteria or in the dorm room he always found a way to bring up Jesus in a conversation. This passion would lead to a home bible study in 2006 that would eventually lead to the birthing of a ministry. He contributes his passion for God to his mother, who showed him what the love of God is. She showed him how to forgive, love unconditionally, and never give up on someone!

Pastor Jay has a management and economics degree and training from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology. He currently serves as CEO and Executive Director for Liberation Family Services, a transition and rapid rehousing program that provides shelter, case management, mental health support and community resources. He pastors Liberation Church with his wife Ashley Marie Patrick where they share the responsibility of bringing the liberty of Christ to Richmond, VA and beyond. http://www.jaypatrick.org/
