In 2018, I took a chance and booked a group trip to a far away place….Thailand. After having to salvage that trip, I realized just what’s needed to have a memorable first time experience abroad.
Almost immediately I decided I wanted to use my then 14+ years of project management experience and my love of travel to fill a gap in the travel industry. I wanted to create a space where my community could be inspired to pursue their largest travel dreams.
I wanted to empower black men and women to expect luxury and value, and most all I wanted to provide a safe space for them to travel without limitations. The limitations of failed plans. The limitations of canceled trips. And the fear of traveling alone. I created Black and Traveled.
Since it’s inception, we’ve traveled to 7 countries and there more bucket list destinations to go!
