Mary Rodwell was born to Arthur & Gladys Rodwell, raised in Richmond, Virginia; she is the fifth of seven children. After the passing of her father it left her broken and in great despair looking for someone else to mend her heart. From being a teenager to her adulthood she struggled to find her purpose in life and love. Although Mary experienced some trials and tribulations in life; she didn’t let it get the best of her. Being a strong woman, Mary took a stand and made the most out of every situation! At a very early age she was introduced to God & accepted the Father as her Lord and Savior. This act of courage allowed Mary to know and feel love.
Today, Mary is a single mother of two, published author, blogger, writer, anti-bully representative and dynamic motivational speaker. She’s gifted by God to motivate and preach the good news. Mary has two published books available on major book retailers. Since the establishment of Motivational Mary she has made two guest appearances on WRIC Channel 8 News. Also a featured guest on Fire91.8 Blog Talk Radio, motivational speaker for the Carol Adams Foundation an one of the top 6 contestants for the 2016 NAACP Image Hometown Champion Award for Richmond VA. Her latest project is titled “The Girl Who Lived Behind The Fence”; which is now available for pre-order on Amazon. This book will be based on a true story to help teenagers and young adults understand life, parenting & faith.
Since August 2014, Mary continues to serve on the Oleweus Bully Prevention Program at a local middle school. She’s also serving on Help’s Ministry at her local church Mt. Gilead Full Gospel International Ministry. Holding onto the promises of God, she walks the journey to righteousness. Mary continues to give God the center of her attention. She’s determined to use her gifts to encourage an inspire others, to lighten their load along this journey.
