Micah Allen, ND, MSAOM, is a graduate of Bastyr University. She is a Naturopathic Doctor and Licensed Acupuncturist with additional training in Chinese Herbal Medicine.
Prior to attending Bastyr, Dr. Allen attended Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science. During her matriculation, she met her husband with whom she shares two wonderful children.
Dr. Allen has previously practiced medicine in the Seattle, WA area for 10 years prior to relocating to Richmond, VA in 2016.
Dr. Allen’s practice focuses on women’s health, cardiovascular disease and pain management. Dr. Allen’s interests include supporting families who are preparing to start a family by providing preconception, fertility and post-birth care. She is a fellow of the American Board of Reproductive Oriental Medicine.
Dr. Allen provides comprehensive and personalized plans that blend the best of modern medical science and traditional natural medical approaches to restore health. Dr. Allen is vested in providing optimal care while assuring that her patient’s health concerns are met with the utmost respect and professionalism.
In addition to patient care, Dr. Allen is an affiliate graduate faculty member at Virginia Commonwealth University as well as an adjunct professor in health sciences.
During her down time, Dr. Allen enjoys exploring parks and museums with her family, reading, yoga music and riding her bike.
