Carmen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Georgia and North Carolina, Licensed Independent Social Worker Clinical Practice in South Carolina, Registered Play Therapist, and Substance Abuse Professional. She is also a Registered Play Therapist. She has provided clinical outpatient therapy as well as intensive in-home services. In 2011, she opened Outspoken Counseling and Consulting to provide therapy, life coaching, and business consulting. In 2020, she created Diversity in Play Therapy, with the mission to effect change within the practice of Play Therapy by increasing cultural awareness and cultural competence for healers working with diverse populations. She is also the host of the Diversity in Play Therapy Summit.
