Ayanna M. Smith, of Hampton Roads, Virginia, is a prolific financial professional, four-time published author, motivational speaker and lifelong educator.
We’ve all heard the cliche’ “you can run but you can’t hide.” That cliche’ reigns true when observing Ayanna M. Smith’s life-long dedication to education. The daughter of two retired educators, Ayanna followed in their footsteps and forged a successful educational career that includes serving as a classroom educator, as well as serving as an Elementary School Assistant principal. From leading in the classroom to leading as an administrator, Ayanna always found both scholars and educators gravitating to her comical, yet knowledgeable approach to education and support.
Ayanna has found her true passion in recent years as a financial expert. Ayanna is passionate about helping individuals and families protect, save, and grow their money. She is particularly passionate about increasing the conversation of “generational wealth and health” within underrepresented communities; places where such lessons have historically been few and far between. In an effort to increase her financial literacy footprint, Ayanna opened her own financial literacy office in Portsmouth in February 2022.
